On 27 October 2026, JD Polman Hotel welcomed approximately 500 business representatives, partners and guests for the launch and business partnership conference of Cambodian Haida Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. (Haida Cambodia). The gathering brought people together to explore new opportunities for cooperation.

Behind the event was a connection rooted in Chaoshan, a region in eastern Guangdong, China. Haid Group co-founder Xu Yingzhuo comes from Chaozhou, while Jingdi Group, the company behind JD Polman Hotel, also traces its roots to Chaoshan. That shared heritage brought an added sense of familiarity, trust and warmth to the cooperation.

Shared Chaoshan Roots, Shared Trust

Haid Group is a leading international feed and agribusiness company. According to its company profile, it ranks first worldwide by feed sales volume.

Xu Yingzhuo, a co-founder and co-chairman of Haid Group, is from Chaozhou, Guangdong. After attending Chaozhou Jinshan Middle School, he studied at South China Agricultural University. He later left a research post at the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and co-founded Haid with Xue Hua. From modest beginnings in fish feed, the business grew into an international group spanning the agricultural and livestock value chain.

The event accompanied the opening of Haid Group’s first feed factory in Cambodia, operated by Haida Cambodia at Canadia Industrial Park in Kampong Speu Province. The conference formed part of the group’s expansion in Southeast Asia and its efforts to deepen local business relationships.

JD Polman Hotel’s parent company, Jingdi Group, also has its origins in Chaoshan. A common cultural background, a commitment to hard work and an emphasis on keeping one’s word gave the two businesses familiar ground on which to work together far from home.

Entrusting an important gathering of this scale to a team with shared roots gave the cooperation a personal dimension. Alongside the practical planning, there was a sense of looking after “one of our own.”

One Hotel for Every Stage of the Event

The scale of the gathering and its two-day programme brought together accommodation, meetings, tea breaks and dinner services. JD Polman Hotel prepared in advance, with departments coordinating room arrangements, venue setup and catering so that each stage of the event was ready.

Guests began arriving and checking in on 26 October.

On the morning of 27 October, the themed registration area in the ground-floor lobby welcomed guests for sign-in, photographs and conversation.

During the meeting breaks, refreshments gave guests time to rest and continue their conversations in a relaxed setting.

Bringing rooms, meetings, tea breaks and dinner together in one hotel reduced travel between venues and helped organisers coordinate the programme more efficiently. This integrated setting is one of JD Polman Hotel’s practical advantages for business events: accommodation, dining, meeting facilities and banquet space in one place.

From Conference to Dinner in Around One Hour

When the meeting ended that evening, the banquet hall moved straight into preparations for dinner. The same venue needed to change from a conference setting to a formal dinner layout in approximately one hour.

The events, food and beverage, and supporting teams worked together to rearrange the tables and chairs, set the banquet tables, prepare tableware and organise the dinner service.

While guests took a short break, rows of conference seating gave way to tables set for dinner. Around an hour later, the hall was ready and the dinner reception began.

For an event involving several hundred people, a fast venue change depends on much more than moving furniture and setting tables. It requires careful timing, staff deployment and close cooperation between departments. For the team, the Chaoshan spirit of giving every task one’s best was expressed through that practical coordination.

The hotel’s hospitality programme concluded successfully.

From guestrooms to the conference hall, from refreshments to dinner, and from registration to departure, JD Polman Hotel provided coordinated support throughout the event.
