With no formalities, everyone settled in for dinner first — a buffet and drinks, easing into the evening, talking about the performances earlier in the day and catching up on each other’s news.

After dinner came a relaxed icebreaker: the host and Da Sen warmed up the room, welcome garlands were presented to the eight guests who had joined, and everyone squeezed in together for a lively group photo.

Then the music started. Some hummed along, some raised their glasses, some chatted in small groups, and others drifted over to the pool to watch the Phnom Penh night in quiet. No need to stand on ceremony or keep to a schedule — it felt like finding a spot to sit and have a drink with friends. That is exactly what we want Honey Badger Sky Bar to feel like.

Phnom Penh from the 32nd Floor Is a Different View

People often ask: what is it actually like to look out over Phnom Penh from the 32nd floor?

Our Sky Bar sits at the very top of JD Polman Hotel, where full-height picture windows and the infinity pool hanging out over the edge frame the whole city in front of you.

Come at dusk and watch the sunset soften the sky, then the street lights come on one by one; later, the glow of the pool water and the city lights reflect into one another, and in the breeze everything slows down.

The infinity pool is the spot people linger at longest. Lean on the edge taking photos with friends, or sit alone for a while in the breeze with a drink in hand and the whole city laid out in front of you — any way you take it, it feels good.

Music and Drinks Are What the Night Is For

When the DJ’s rhythm kicks in, the ease of the evening gradually turns into the gentle buzz of the night.

A cold beer, a perfectly mixed cocktail, good company beside you, and a city full of lights spread out below. No programme needed — a whole evening of easy, unhurried relaxation is already good enough.

More Than a Bar: Your Own Private Gathering Place

The China–Cambodia creators’ gathering that evening was only one of the many ways to use Sky Bar.

Whether it is a get-together with friends, a birthday party, a brand event, a private dinner or a small celebration, we can arrange the space around what you need. The sky pool area on the 32nd floor covers nearly 360 square metres and can accommodate up to 200 people — an easy evening for a few dozen guests or a themed event for a hundred or more both fit.

Tonight, why not come up to the 32nd floor — watch the clouds drift by in the daytime, wait for the sunset in the evening, and enjoy the night breeze with music after dark. If you have not decided where to go tonight, come and sit at Honey Badger Sky Bar. We are on the 32nd floor, waiting to watch the Phnom Penh night with you.
