A Walk Along Phnom Penh’s Riverfront
Sisowath Quay follows the Tonlé Sap riverfront through a lively part of central Phnom Penh. The promenade provides space to watch river activity and the changing rhythm of the city, from early walkers to families gathering later in the day.
Make the walk your own: pause for a view, explore a nearby café, or use the riverfront to connect a visit to the Royal Palace and National Museum. There is no need to cover the entire stretch to enjoy the atmosphere.

Before You Go
We suggest allowing 45–90 minutes for a relaxed walk, with extra time for refreshments or nearby sights. Early morning and late afternoon can offer more comfortable conditions than midday.
Bring water and sun protection, and check the weather before setting out. Keep belongings secure in busy areas and take care when crossing between the promenade and the cafés on the opposite side of the road.
If you choose to add a river cruise, check the operator, departure point, current schedule and inclusions directly before booking. The walking guide itself does not require a cruise.
